Arkansas Food Bank Cereal Drive

This year marks a milestone for one of arkansas largest and best known hunger relief initiatives and we are so excited to celebrate two decades of growth and unprecedented success while challenging teams and individuals to make this the most successful scd to date. 2 02 pm cdt july 13 2018. Gleaners community food bank distributes the cereal collected through our network of partners. Jessieville the jessieville school district will be participating in the thv11 and arkansas food bank summer cereal drive on saturday at the cvs pharmacy 3630 central ave from 9 a m.

The drive will be taking place at all walmart stores including the supercenters and neighborhood markets in the four counties benton carroll madison and washington served by the food bank. Things are going to look a bit different this year due to covid 19 but trust us you won t want to miss this. Thv11 and the arkansas foodbank are excited to join and present the 2020 summer cereal drive. In 2017 arkansas food bank distributed 26 5 million pounds of food.

A big thank you from all of us here at thv11 and the arkansas food bank for a great 18th year for the thv11 summer cereal drive. Year after year the drive has grown with almost 3 1 million servings collected in 2019 and a grand total of almost 10 1 million servings in 10 years. A summer hunger cereal drive sponsored by general mills will be conducted from may 1 31 for the northwest arkansas food bank. In 2020 the annual cereal drive has gone virtual.

Our thv11 summer cereal drive is here and it s celebrating it s 20th year. June 1 8 00 am june 30 5 00 pm. As a part of its summer food insecurity efforts the arkansas food bank just wrapped up its summer cereal drive where 300 thousand boxes of cereal were donated. Each year thv11 teams up with the arkansas food bank for the summer cereal drive where we collect cereal and donations to help provided breakfast for kids families in central arkansas.

The pandemic has created an urgent need for donations and it s more important than it s ever been to ensure that arkansans have access to the food they need. Enough for 60 500 meals a day.
